10.30-10.34 & 14.20-15.20

Weather: Temp: 12 C; wind 25 mph SW. Intermittent rain.

Observations:

AM

At the main site (Ovingdean) I saw one pair of Fulmars

PM

At 14.20 I saw the same pair that I had seen in the morning in exactly the same spot. While observing them one of the birds flew off to the sea, before retuning soon. I saw ca. 12 birds, mostly flying from the cliffs to the sea and back for short flights. About 6 birds soared up the cliff face on thermal air currents, and then flew out to see, and retuned to the bottom of the cliff, before going up again, and flying off again.
